Our client, a leading provider in maintenance and construction services, seeks to employ a hands-on and skilled Bookkeeper to join this progressive and expanding professional team.Please note this is NOT a Senior Financial Manager role, as the company has an existing Finance Manager, nor is it suited to candidates from a highly corporate sector. This position is ideal for someone who has managed accounting, costing, and staff motivation in a high volume, fast-paced SMME business.Key Requirements For ConsiderationYou will have completed Matric, coupled with 8+ years experience being a right hand to the Financial Manager, managing the entire business process and finance of up to 6 staff in multiple branches. (A tertiary qualification is advantageous).You will have a proven track record in achieving company profitability and financial stability objectives by reducing business expenses, preventing overspending, and actively managing cash outflows and collections in debtors. You must have a solid understanding of stock and inventory control, as well as managing practical bookkeeping to Trial Balance.You will display experience in ensuring that business risk is always well managed and controlled, as well as being responsible for all aspects of business compliance.Exposure to BEE portfolio management is essential, as well as managing the entire stock portfolio, asset management, company fleet, and IT systems (Xero, E-Works, and MS Office 365 software).In addition, you will display experience in budgets, forecasting, petty cash, insurances, and monthly reporting.You must have a valid driver's licence, own car, and a clear criminal and credit record.Due to the exceptionally high volume of applications, we are unable to correspond with each applicant personally; therefore, only relevant and suitable candidates will be contacted.
