With a strong presence across various industries, they specialise in strategic corporate communications, public relations, reputation management, and media relations. The company is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex media landscapes, strengthen their brand presence, and engage effectively with stakeholders. They are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.
RequirementsBookkeeping qualification or degree in Accounting/Finance;Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting;Proficiency in Sage, Excel, Pastel, and QuickBooks;Familiarity with payroll processes and ability to liaise with payroll teams;Experience with preparing and managing VAT and tax submissions;Strong interpersonal and communication skills for handling internal and external clients;Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Processing: Oversee invoicing, supplier invoices, cashbook entries, bank reconciliations, journals, VAT reports, and monthly management reports, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately on Sage Pastel.Banking & Payments: Process salaries, supplier payments, VAT, UIF, Income Tax, and inter-account transfers.Commissions: Calculate and process monthly commissions.Documentation and Secretarial Duties: Prepare and manage necessary team documentation.Payroll Support: Provide payroll and leave information to PKF and assist with payroll processes.Client Management: Manage client credits in Lead Generator and update year-end credit spreadsheets.Office Administration: Handle office supply orders, book local travel, manage HR documentation (leave forms, contracts, payslips), and arrange car hire and accommodation.Annual Financial Support: Compile and submit necessary documents for PKF to complete annual financial statements (AFS).
