SydSen George, Western Cape, South AfricaBookkeeper and AdministratorA company that forms part of the construction industry is looking for a Bookkeeper to Trail Balance & Administrator. This role will be a combination of both these roles. Based in George in the Western Cape.ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records, including managing invoices, receipts, and paymentsPerform regular bank reconciliations and ensure accounts are balancedPrepare financial reports and assist with budgeting processesHandle payroll administration and related queriesManage office supplies, filing systems, and other general administrative tasksAssist with HR tasks, such as maintaining employee records and processing leave requestsSupport management with any ad-hoc tasks or special projectsRequirementsProven experience as a bookkeeper, with a strong understanding of accounting principlesProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage)Strong administrative skills and familiarity with office management proceduresHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamQualificationsA diploma or certificate in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or administrative roleProficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
