Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a talented and motivated BIM Modeller specializing in Highways to join our team in Bellville, South Africa.
As a key member of our innovative engineering group, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge highway projects, including freeways, state routes, and local municipal roads.Create accurate 3D models, drawings, sketches, and diagrams for highway projects using Civil 3D and/or OpenRoadsAssist design engineers in producing high-quality highway models and drawings for both international and local projectsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of BIM modelsParticipate in design progress and coordination meetings, actively contributing ideas and solutionsAnalyze and interpret data from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM modelsDevelop efficient workflows to optimize project timelines and budgetsStay updated on the latest BIM technologies and best practices in highway designEnsure all work adheres to project specifications, standards, and quality requirementsQualificationsDraughting Certificate required; National Diploma (NDip) in a related field is an advantage2-5 years of experience in BIM modeling, preferably in highway or transportation projectsProficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; knowledge of Microstation and OpenRoads is a plusStrong 3D modeling skills and understanding of BIM principles and practicesFamiliarity with highway design standards and regulationsExcellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentExcellent time management and organizational skillsWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologiesGood communication skills in English, both verbal and writtenAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
