Job Description AECOM is seeking a talented and motivated BIM Modeller specializing in Highways to join our team in Bellville, South Africa.
As a key member of our innovative engineering group, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge highway projects, including freeways, state routes, and local municipal roads.
Create accurate 3D models, drawings, sketches, and diagrams for highway projects using Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Assist design engineers in producing high-quality highway models and drawings for both international and local projects Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of BIM models Participate in design progress and coordination meetings, actively contributing ideas and solutions Analyze and interpret data from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models Develop efficient workflows to optimize project timelines and budgets Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and best practices in highway design Ensure all work adheres to project specifications, standards, and quality requirements Qualifications Draughting Certificate required; National Diploma (NDip) in a related field is an advantage 2-5 years of experience in BIM modeling, preferably in highway or transportation projects Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; knowledge of Microstation and OpenRoads is a plus Strong 3D modeling skills and understanding of BIM principles and practices Familiarity with highway design standards and regulations Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Excellent time management and organizational skills Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
