The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Daily management reports and incident reports;Client liaison;Problem solving;Checking and testing of all equipment and vehicles;Managing people and assets;Application of HR policies, practices and procedures;Enforcing of Standard Operating Procedures;Investigating of incidents;Management of health and safety issues for Sappi;Reading of forestry maps;Must be able to cover a large area of the forestry as required by the client Preferred qualifications/ attributes/skillsPSIRA certification- Grade A;Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;Knowledge and experience in forestry security will be an advantage;Must be able to read forestry maps;Investigation skills;Community liaison experienceComputer literate [MS Word, Excel and Outlook];Strong management and planning ability;Health and Safety qualification and working knowledge of OHSA, NOSA;Sound communication skills [verbal and in writing];Must be prepared to work long hours;Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;Must have valid drivers license;Zulu speaking will be an advantageFirearm competent;
