Benefits and Housing Needs Officer needed in East London Paying £21.31 per hr ref 1363800 Full time hours on a temporary basis Responsibilities: Prevention work - negotiating with hosts, understanding S21 notices and the eviction process, dealing with landlord harassment, knowledge of N244 re-entry, working with probation services, and addressing Domestic Violence issues. Provide Options and Advice - review Housing Benefits, Discretionary Housing Payments, maximizing income, debt management, and liaising with Housing Supply. Homelessness - understand when interim duty is triggered, placement in Temporary Accommodation (TA), handling homelessness applications, conducting necessary investigations, and making decisions.
