We've got an exciting, brand new opportunity at Ackermans as a Benefits Administrator who will be part of a dynamic Remuneration and Benefits team. This role will report to the Human Resource Manager and be responsible for administering employee benefits within the team. The Benefits Administrator will respond to employee application requests and queries relating to these benefits and ensure all internal and external stakeholders are aware of the necessary processes, timelines, and requirements.We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.Key responsibilities:Provide administrative support to the Remuneration and Benefits team.Respond to requests/queries for information/processes relating to benefits.Monitor incoming emails and ensure distribution to the correct individuals in the benefits team.Deliver payroll information to payroll by due dates.Distribute remuneration and benefits information to the business as per the annual calendar.Schedule quarterly Medical Aid Committee meetings.Schedule all clinic sister visits for Support Centre and DC's.Schedule all Blood donation interventions at Support Centre.Update company intranet regularly with updated forms and policies.Coordinate Educational Assistance benefits.Provide inputs to the policy to ensure relevance to business processes.Process long service awards in a timely manner.Liaise with counselors on sessions required for the Employee Assistance Program.Provide input on all benefits available.Drive awareness of all benefits for staff.Assist Rem Ben Specialist with surveys/benchmarking with other retailers.Assist the Rem Team with annual medical aid audits.Ensure that all IOD claims are submitted on the WCA portal within the required timeframe.Process Emergency Loans.Process all invoices for the Benefits Team.Ensure credit card statement spend has corresponding invoices processed on time.Keep a tracker for all captured invoices.Assist with the investigation of Death Claims.Qualifications required:Essential:Matric (Grade 12).Preferred:Human Resources Diploma or Degree.Experience required:Essential:Minimum 2 years HR-related and admin experience in the field of benefits or HR.Preferred:Administration experience in the field of benefits such as bursaries, loans, retirement funds.Knowledge required:Basic knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.Basic knowledge of the Pension Funds Act section 37c (Death case investigations).Knowledge of the Ackermans internal policies and processes.Skills required:Ability to coordinate admin processes that span across the business.Ability to explain to employees at all levels the relevant benefits and related procedures.Ability to manage multiple tasks with different deadlines.
