Salon Assistant Manager - Sandton Area – are you looking for a new challenge working in a busy Salon environment.
Ensure staff allocated the correct work load for their skills.
Ensure client satisfaction is maintained and treatments are of a consistently high standard.
Ensure policies and procedures adhered to, organising staff rosters and ongoing training.
Attend to clients queries.
Supply information on services and treatments within the salon to the clients.
Perform all beauty and nail treatments when required.
Working Hours: Monday – Sunday - Long shopping mall hours Tasks Ability to answer phones, book and schedule, co-ordinate appointments accurately and take messages accurately Skill and hands on experience performing all beauty treatments – 4 years experience Skill and experience advising clients on all beauty treatments procedures Skill and experience in retail product sales Stock take Key Competencies Ability to use your initiative when undertaking decision making Exemplary organisational skills including timekeeping and keeping records.
Ability to keep a cool and level head when faced with working under pressure and being able to deal with problems which may arise on a day to day basis in a stress free and calm manor.
Team leadership qualities i.e.
being a good motivational speaker and example setter to the rest of your staff during team meetings and one to one discussions.
Excellent knowledge of the beauty therapy industry and an up to date skill set when it comes to performing treatments.
Good "people" skills , as a Supervisor you must be able to understand and assist staff if they need help Ability to remain fair and professional at all times Ability to deal with "difficult" Spa situations such as client complaints and staff disagreements in a diplomatic fashion.
An up to date and through knowledge of current health and safety in the workplace regulations.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
