Barman - Hoseki Restaurant

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barman at our Japanese Restaurant, Hoseki, at Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa, to provide an excellent guest drinking experience, who will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers' needs and expectations.Main Responsibilities:Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons;Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks and snacks;Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations;Mix and prepare ingredients for cocktails.Plan and present bar menu;Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies;Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience;Comply with all food and beverage regulations & ensure minimum losses;Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areas;Check drinks presentations and temperature to make sure of its quality;Ensure everything in the bar is set-up and ready for service, including the coffee stations and all machines;Assist management in taking bar stock.Main Requirements:Preferably 3+ years previous experience as a Barman;Ability to travel to and from the property for late shifts as required;Passionate about the hospitality industry;Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, written and verbal (in person and telephonic);Strong customer service orientation with excellent people skills;Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments and across cultures and religions;Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele;Honesty, flexibility, accountability and friendliness;Professional manner and attitude;Punctual & self-disciplined;Extreme attention to detail;Basic computer and administration skills.
