Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient and reliable backend systems that support our web and mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance across all systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Design & Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side logic, databases, and web services.
API Development & Integration: Design and integrate RESTful APIs, enabling efficient communication between frontend and backend systems.
Database Management: Ensure the integrity, security, and efficiency of databases, including data storage solutions, queries, and indexes.
Performance Optimization: Implement best practices to ensure scalability, speed, and efficiency of backend systems.
Security Compliance: Ensure secure data transactions, protect against vulnerabilities, and maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g., OWASP).
Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers to ensure the integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Testing & Debugging: Write unit and integration tests, debug applications, and continuously enhance backend functionality.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for backend processes, including APIs, database schemas, and development processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Backend Developer or in a similar role.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, Go).
Database Management: Strong experience with relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) databases.
API Development: Expertise in RESTful API design and development.
Version Control: Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git).
Security Best Practices: Familiarity with backend security principles, authentication mechanisms, and encryption.
Strong understanding of server environments, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies and solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with microservices architecture.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Exposure to frontend technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js (for better collaboration with front-end teams).
Knowledge of caching mechanisms and load balancing.
