A long-serving bank known as Africa's biggest lender of assets and financial services group committed to providing banking insurance and asset management services has an open role for an Azure Data Engineer to execute data engineering duties according to the standards, frameworks, and roadmaps of the bank.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain complete data architecture across several application platformsAnalyse data elements and systemsBuild required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of dataBuild, create, manage, and optimise data pipelinesCreate data tooling, enabling data consumers in building and optimising data consumptionExecute on the design, definition, and development of APIsDevelop across several application platformsExperience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processesKnowledge of integration patterns, styles, protocols, and systemsLiaise and collaborate with technology colleagues and country data teams to understand viable data solutions within architectural guidelinesQualifications and Experience:Degree in business commerce, information studies, or information technology5-7 years' experience in building databases, warehouses, reporting, and data integration solutions5+ years of deep understanding of data pipelining and performance optimisation5+ years' experience in database programming languagesKafkaSpark SQLPower BIPythonThe Reference Number for this position is NG59670, which is a Permanent Hybrid position in Johannesburg offering a salary of up to R700k – R900 CTC negotiable based on experience.
