AWS Infrastructure Engineer Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg Metro, Johannesburg

Job Duties: Designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure solutions. Managing and supporting AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC. Monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure performance and resolving any issues. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of systems. Developing and implementing security measures to protect data and systems. Automating infrastructure processes to improve efficiency and scalability. Documenting and maintaining technical specifications and procedures. Providing technical support and guidance to team members and end-users. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an AWS Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure components. Experience in designing and implementing secure and scalable AWS solutions. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Understanding of networking concepts and protocols. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools. Experience with database management systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. Working Conditions: This role operates in an office environment. The AWS Infrastructure Engineer may be required to work on-site or remotely, depending on project requirements. The position may involve occasional travel to client sites. The engineer should be able to work independently and collaboratively, following a flexible work schedule to meet project deadlines.
