Reports to: Managing Director Remuneration: Market Related dependent on skill set, knowledge, and experience Purpose Of The Job: Our Client, an Automotive Gearbox Company is looking for an experienced General Manager to join the Team.
The candidate will take full responsibility of the Automatic branch of the business and all the supporting branches, Lead the teams, be responsible for costing, customer satisfaction, quality control & employee management.
Workout profitability of the branch and set targets.
Duties: Provide leadership, support and management to ensure that the vision, mission and culture within the Company are maintained Ensure that the company values are suitably communicated across at all sites Actively plan for succession planning of own role as well as the other strategic roles within each site Communicate KPI's and benchmarks to direct subordinates ensuring these are clearly explained Conduct the required performance appraisals twice a year with departmental heads Actively strive for improved overall site efficiency through cost, process and productivity analysis annually, submitting relevant plans and implementing on approval Actively develop team to ensure they are suitably skilled and able to fulfil their functions Ensure adherence to required healthy and safety regulations within ISO guidelines and client protocols at each site, continuously promoting health and safety Ensure efficient and suitable use of all department resources, ensuring company assets and resources are properly handled Communicate with managers to ensure that the site equipment is suitably available, maintained, updated and in working order Communicate with managers to ensure that a daily/weekly cleaning schedule is enforced, ensuring workspace is neat and clean through mopping, packing, cleaning, recycling, planning and organizing at each site Maintain and enforce all necessary quality control procedures Suitable allocation and prioritization of work at site as required, checking on progress at regular intervals daily Ensure all necessary deadlines of managers and targets are met Ensure all necessary SLA requirements for clients are met Ensure that the Site Managers conduct weekly site safety inspections, reporting any necessary information to the client and Operations Director Monitor sales figures, reporting through to the executive team on a weekly basis and facilitating action should sales be down Effectively manage and work with the team to monitor the service and fuel accounts for all site vehicles Communicate with Site Managers to ensure overall accuracy and proper maintenance of job cards on site Facilitate client meetings as per their prescribed terms and schedule Assist customers with all issues, queries and complaints efficiently and in line with the ethical guidelines of the company Work to resolve issues in a speedy and appropriate manner, ensuring that all are monitored, and that relevant action is expedited Continuously identify and analyze customer service trends in order to determine necessary system improvements, facilitating action where required Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained and that client relationships are properly managed, maintained and nurtured Requirements: 15 years + experience in Automotive industry in same or similar role as General Manager Must be technically minded individual Excellent understanding of automotive industry Motor Industry Experience ESSENTIAL!!!!
