Day to day responsibilities will include: Test planning and design of test scenarios Test case preparation and maintenance Test case reviews Test case execution Logging and tracking of defects through to completion. Test reporting throughout test environments Testing for production support Provide regular feedback to team member, developers and stakeholders. Attend daily stand-ups and provide testing progress. Ability to work some evenings for live deployments (2 - 3 nights per month) Minimum requirements: Relevant IT Tertiary Qualification 5+ years' experience in a testing or similar role Previous experience working within a FinTech/Retail, Payments or Banking environment is preferred. API testing experience (must have) Experience using API testing tools like POSTMAN, JMETER, RAPID API, SoapUI, REST-assured, Catalon Studio, Apigee, (must have). Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins Experience using Linux. Automation testing experience. Have experience of working with enterprise scale application stacks Have had exposure to the full software development lifecycle. Skills Proficiency in database queries Familiarity of programming script languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) Excellent analytical skills Strong attention to detail Committed to delivering high quality work. Taking ownership of work delivered. Motivated Good problem-solving skills Team player Good communication skills, both oral and written Passion for software testing and the SDLC Debugging and problem-solving skills
