Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Autodesk Revit Plugin Developer to design and implement advanced plugins for Revit. This role involves developing tools to enhance 3D modelling, data management, and export capabilities, integrating structured BIM metadata and other essential assets. The ideal candidate has a passion for problem-solving, a strong technical background, and an understanding of AEC workflows.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlugin Development: Create custom Autodesk Revit plugins to enhance user workflows and improve project efficiency.
3D Model Export: Implement functionality to export 3D models from Revit into common formats such as FBX, DAE, etc., ensuring compatibility and quality.
BIM Metadata Handling: Ensure exported models include structured BIM data, materials, textures, and other relevant metadata.
Custom Tool Design: Develop tools for automating repetitive tasks and integrating third-party applications with Revit.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, refine solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing workflows.
Testing and Optimisation: Conduct thorough testing of plugins to ensure reliability, performance, and usability across diverse projects.
Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for tools, plugins, and processes to support team collaboration and end-user training.
QualificationsProven experience in Autodesk Revit plugin development.
Proficiency in C# and .NET Framework.
Strong understanding of BIM standards and data structures.
Experience with 3D file formats such as FBX, DAE, and their associated metadata.
Familiarity with Revit API and customising workflows for architectural or engineering projects.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Python for scripting Revit tasks.
Knowledge of rendering engines and texture workflows.
Familiarity with 3D modelling software such as 3ds Max, Blender, or Maya.
Experience integrating Revit with other tools like Dynamo or external data sources.
Equipment RequirementsReliable internet connection for remote collaboration.
