OverviewOur client within the Packaging Industry is seeking an Auto Platen Operator to join their team.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12/Matric – with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy)Trade Test will be to your advantage3 years' experience in Corrugated EnvironmentComputer literacy skillsJob RequirementsControl ProductionReview the ShopwareSet the machine according to the factory card (in the absence of a Best Operating Practice) in conjunction with the Printer OperatorEnsure each job is checked and meets customer requirements before running itReconcile and complete time sheets, factory cards and Shopware on completion of each orderRun the machine at the optimum speed to achieve maximum output at the lowest cost and maintain the highest quality standard.Do routine QC checksEnsure that ISO 9001/2000 Best Practices are adhered toUtilise Shopware to feedback and monitor performance against target & fill in ad-hoc maintenanceCheck all dies for wear and tear after each runAssist Printer operator when requiredControl StackingEnsure that cartons are packed according to specification on a palletEnsure that the presentation is word class standardsEnsure empty pallets are stored in the correct yellow squares and waste in red squares.Waste/Non-conforming ProductAll waste or non-conforming products to be isolated in a red square or in the QC hold area.Ensure corrective action is taken to remedy any identified quality deviationsIdentify training needs for your departmentEnsure quality check sheets of applicable orders are done.
