Job Title: Authorizations Clerk (Temporary, 3-Month Contract)Position Overview:We are seeking a temporary Authorizations Clerk to join our team for a 3-month contract, with the potential for this position to become permanent. This role involves handling authorization processes with medical aids, coordinating theatre bookings, facilitating communication between doctors, hospitals, and patients, and managing post-theatre follow-up appointments. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Initiate and manage authorization requests by contacting medical aids and ensuring timely approval for procedures and treatments.Coordinate theatre bookings, ensuring schedules align with doctor and hospital availability.Serve as a liaison between doctors, hospitals, and patients to facilitate seamless communication and ensure clarity regarding procedures, authorizations, and appointments.Engage with patients to provide necessary information, address queries, and offer support throughout the authorization and theatre booking process.Create and schedule follow-up appointments post-theatre, ensuring patients receive adequate post-operative care.Compile and maintain accurate theatre lists, including patient details, procedures, and necessary authorizations.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience in administrative roles within a healthcare setting, preferably in authorizations or theatre coordination.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with medical aids, doctors, hospitals, and patients.Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail in managing authorizations, theatre bookings, and follow-up appointments.Proficiency in relevant software and systems used for scheduling, record-keeping, and authorization processing.Ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines in a dynamic healthcare environment.A proactive and collaborative approach with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.Additional Information:This is a temporary role based at PAIN Panorama, Panorama Healthcare Centre, 2nd floor, Hennie Winterbach Street.How to Apply:To apply, send a one-page CV along with your salary expectation to ****** you are enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic healthcare environment and possess the necessary skills to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.
