Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a national group of companies to identify a talented Head Of Finance to join the head office function in East Lancashire. With revenue streams across various sectors, each entity is in a period of high growth. The group have a proven track record of taking fledgling businesses and evolving them to being highly successful. They are now seeking a high caliber Head Of Finance to support future growth whilst supporting the group Finance Director in the management of the finance function. This position will manage the group operation, supervising a small finance department whilst being hands-on to develop the commercial financial data.
Your new role as Head of Finance:
As Head of Finance, you shall enjoy a varied, hands-on role. Developing commercial reporting, you will remain a key senior member of the management team whilst being responsible for the review and completion of month/year end accounts. Office based with parking on-site, you shall work closely with stakeholders across the businesses developing financial understanding, driving profitability through awareness and business/stakeholder partnering. You shall enhance process and develop the team to establish timely and accurate monthly/yearly accounting and add value to the decision-making process in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. With the ability to formulate a strategic long-term business plan, you shall spearhead change whilst ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
Main Role Duties: Manage and develop individuals within the finance functionLead all elements of the monthly Management Accounts and associated reporting for each business in the groupYear-end accounting and support to enable and assist the audit processBudget and forecast management with stakeholder engagementDue diligence on future business venturesEnsure all ledgers are managed effectively and process and procedure is fit for purposeCash Management, reconciling the various bank accounts on a regular basisManaging all elements of cash flow through effective credit control measuresLiaison with the bank and outsourced resourcesOngoing development of process and procedure Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered, you shall be CIMA /ACCA/ ACA qualified with strong technical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a lead finance role. With experience of developing qualified staff, you shall be technically strong and able to develop financial reporting to add commercial value. With excellent attention to detail, a proven ability to work under pressure, and experience of working with extremely confidential and highly sensitive information, you shall be proficient at developing strong working relationships across an organisation.
