Audit Senior (Financial Services)

Our client is an award-winning firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors headquartered in the UK, servicing clients across various industries in the UK and internationally. As the Financial Services division continues to grow from strength to strength, they are looking for a capable and passionate senior to deliver high quality audits to this sector. Working from their Cape Town offices in the CBD, the role will entail running audits for a variety of clients across the UK and Europe. Responsibilities: Carry out audits using a bespoke risk-based audit approach. Coordinate with the client, the manager, and colleagues on the audit. Plan, perform, and oversee the audit process in line with agreed timetables. Liaise with clients and complete audit testing. Allocate responsibilities and delegate work to more junior members of the team. Review team members' work for accuracy and compliance. Perform effective risk and control assessments. Liaise with the manager to ensure work is reviewed and any queries addressed. Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency. Train, coach, and encourage junior members of the team.
