The Audit Manager further supports the Engagement Partner with clients' commercial management and business development initiatives.Reporting to the Audit Partner you will inter alia be responsible for:Business DevelopmentNegotiating budgets/fees and overruns for clients once fee base has been agreed with the partnerManaging WIP, write offs, fee queries, and debtorsEnsure timeous and accurate billing of clientsAccurate and timeous planning of auditsManagement and execution of auditsManaging staff movements on and off the job and timeously communicate to all relevant partiesManage and control staff allocations on audit projectsEnsure completion and finalization of auditsBuilding effective relationships with clients and staffEnsure exceptional client serviceDecide on the appropriateness of audit opinion by resolving issues which might impact the audit opinion and ensuring that these are brought to the attention of the engagement partner and documentedManage the client and ensure that the project is delivered within the scope agreed onMentoring of traineesTimeous completion of performance reviewsQualifications and Experience:CA(SA)A minimum of 2 years post-article management experience with long-term audit ambitions – partner/directorListed companies experience will be an advantageCompetencies:Strong technical abilityExtremely high level of attention to detail and analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to communicate effectively - verbally and in writingAbility to relate to clients at executive levelAbility to apply sound professional judgmentDemonstrate a commitment to self-development and growth through research and attending courses relevant to the rolePromote teamwork within the Audit TeamsStrong planning, organizing, and control skillsThe appointment will be made in terms of the Firm's Employment Equity Policy.Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
