Position Summary: As the Audit Manager , you will lead audit teams, oversee the end-to-end audit process, and ensure that all client engagements are completed to the highest standards.
This role requires a thorough understanding of auditing practices, strong leadership capabilities, and excellent client relationship management skills.
The ideal candidate is an experienced auditor who can lead by example, enhance team performance, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements in line with regulatory standards.
Lead and supervise a team of auditors, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Review and approve audit work to ensure compliance with audit standards and firm policies.
Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, manage expectations, and provide actionable insights.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of audit reports and financial statements.
Identify areas of risk and improvement within client processes and suggest value-adding recommendations.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations to maintain compliance.
Manage client relationships and contribute to client retention and new business development.
Qualifications & Skills: CA(SA) qualification or equivalent professional certification.
5+ years of auditing experience, with at least 2 years in a management role .
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and auditing standards .
Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CaseWare) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Registered with SAICA (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants) Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Strong leadership skills with a passion for team development and mentoring.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
