They are currently seeking an Audit Manager to join their team. In this demanding role, the candidate will be responsible for compiling audit plans, drafting management letters, reports, and associated documentation. Reporting to the Partner/Director at a middle management level, they are looking for a candidate of utmost integrity, possessing exceptional communication and leadership skills to maintain the firm's professional reputation. The successful candidate will ensure the maintenance of high service delivery standards, actively providing guidance, mentoring, and leadership to their internal Accounting and Auditing teams. Applicants must possess extensive knowledge of auditing and accounting, holding a CA(SA) qualification with a minimum of three (3) years post-articles experience. (NON-NEGOTIABLE) Experience in private sector auditing would be advantageous.
DUTIES: Planning, executing, and overseeing client assignments and projects to deliver excellent service professionally.Aligning strategically with Partners/Directors on projects, providing solutions within and outside the realms of accounting, auditing, tax, and advisory.Planning and executing operational and financial audits.Actively exploring and identifying business process risks, documenting evaluation results.Developing recommendations and reports based on audits, presenting ideas to senior management.Achieving team and individual budgets and business performance objectives.Managing project financials, including budgets, WIPS, timely billing, and variance recognition.Formulating professional development and educational plans for junior staff members (trainees as assigned and rotated throughout the year).Planning and allocating resources and individuals according to skills and schedules.Ensuring compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements.Assisting in identifying revenue growth opportunities by recognizing potential opportunities and advising clients on supplementary products or services to meet their needs.REQUIREMENTS: Strong technical knowledge and skills.In-depth knowledge of IFRS guidelines and SAICA rules and regulations.ATTRIBUTES: Excellent problem-solving skills.
