Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the knowledge and information management and business intelligence architecture. Responsible for the design and delivery of high value and high performing knowledge and information management and business intelligence solutions for the organisation. Involved at all levels, from strategy to project execution to training.
What will make you successful in this role?Relationship Management – Management of relationships with key stakeholders, including Business Senior Management, Business Line Management, Business Staff, Audit Managers, Audit Specialists, and Audit Staff.Strategic and Operational Planning – Data Analysis Strategy Setting, ensuring alignment with the digital transformation and data enablement objectives.Staff Management – Management of the day-to-day operations of the Data Analytics team, including resource planning, recruitment, and performance evaluations.Methodology & Standard Setting – Maintaining oversight over the implementation of new data analysis methodologies & standards.Requirement Setting – Clarifying the Advanced Business/ IT auditor data analysis needs and obtaining management approval.Data Sourcing – Understanding the data required to fulfil the data analysis development request.Data Analysis – Design of advanced data analysis solutions and the manipulation of data to identify trends or patterns.Quality Assurance – Quality assurance of business specifications and reporting deliverables.Reporting – Effective reporting of findings and data analytic outcomes.Automation – Automation of data extraction processes and analyses.Running & Maintenance of CAATTS – Execution and monitoring of developed scripts.Project Assurance – Assisting with data migration governance reviews.Qualification and ExperienceBachelor of Science in Computer Science / Programming / Statistics or related qualification.Minimum of 7 years of data analysis experience at Big 4 audit firm or big Financial Services firm.Experience with performing advanced business specification development.Experience with implementing IT technologies to get data from clients.Agile planning and scheduling.Standard setting and monitoring.Advanced data analysis programming experience.ACL scripting experience (considered an advantage).Advanced SQL scripting experience.Cloudera, Apache Impala, SAP Hana and SAP Business Objects experience (considered an Advantage).Other data analysis programming experience, e.g. Python, R, WPS, SAS (considered an advantage).Experience with using ETL technologies, e.g. SQL SSIS (considered an Advantage).Knowledge of data analysis as it pertains to the Financial Services Industry and internal audit disciplines.Experience in managing teams including all aspects of performance management.Knowledge and SkillsRisk and loss controlComplex Internal AuditsReporting to various stakeholdersCoaching and mentoring of junior auditorsAudit performance and remedial actionPersonal AttributesPlans and alignsManages complexityBusiness insightBalances stakeholdersBuild a successful career with usWe're all about building strong, lasting relationships with our employees.
