KEY RESPONSIBILITESManages event plan for entire cruise, by coordinating events and promo-tables set up and related marketing (signages, handouts, daily special, announcements) and report to the Shop Manager resultsEnsure compliance with Marketing Calendar from GVA and Model Store guidelines, reporting spending habits or preferencesTrain and coach Shop sellers & Category Specialists on effective selling skills, using checklist and coaching logsManages daily sales operation including control of checks, staff rotation, stock replenishment and relevant inventory control proceduresEnsures compliance of all inventory control procedures (Operational Calendar, managers handovers, staff rotation, perpetual inventories, daily cigarettes count, main store check) and maintain Inventory log for Profit Protection ManagerManage end-to-end receiving of stock on board and lockers maintenance to corporate guideline standardsTrain and coach Shop Sellers & Category Specialists on effective loss prevention procedures, using checklist and coaching logsEnsures compliance with monthly damage procedures (expiring protocol, B&S, raffle giveaways)QUALIFICATIONS High school graduateEssential language and level English B1Ability to communicate in other major European languages depending on the itinerary of the Ship, is an advantageAt least three years experience as sea-going Assistant Shop Manager with another cruise lineDOCUMENTS REQUIREDValid South African PassportPolice Clearance
