Minimum Requirements: A relevant Doctoral Degree A teaching qualification At least 7 years experience in higher education Extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in the area of Inclusive Education A track record of international and national accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Associate Professor Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters and/or Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Associate Professor Added Advantages Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning Evidence of successful external fundraising for research. Some standing as a scholar in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating, keynote addresses/ plenary lectures). Evidence of successfully hosting post-doctoral research fellows. Evidence of professional and academic standing at national and/or international levels Evidence of academic leadership and mentorship of early career academics. Evidence of national and/or international collaboration Evidence of community engagement integrated with teaching, learning or research Duties: Provide academic leadership in research; curriculum design, development, and implementation Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of associate professor Secure external research grants and establish research programs Supervise all levels of postgraduate students and host post-doctoral fellows Establish institutional and national / international collaborations Provide academic leadership and contribute to mentorship of academic staff Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research Contribute to University service and participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levels Closing Date: 25 October 2024 To apply: Interested applicants who meet the criteria are invited to:
