To conduct research, facilitate the acquisition of research knowledge and skills amongst undergraduate and postgraduate students. To contribute to community engagement and to be involved in the core functions of the University.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASTeaching, assessment and development of undergraduate BPharm courses.Supervision of undergraduate research topics.Conducting, publishing and promoting research in Pharmacy.Liaison with the Departments pharmaceutical industry partners and other stakeholders.Facilitation and co-ordination of pharmaceutical sciences work integrated activities.Involvement in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.Involvement in community engagement programmes.Perform other administrative duties as designated by the Head of the Discipline / Department.CORE COMPETENCIESAn in-depth knowledge in the theory of pharmaceutical sciences.Experience in facilitating undergraduate learning and teaching and in the development of curricula and learning material in pharmaceutical sciences.Initiation and management of research projects in pharmaceutical sciences.Potential to contribute to pharmacy profession / stakeholder liaison and networking.Good computer skills.Knowledge and implementation of, or an ability for, facilitation using blended learning methods.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor of PharmacyRegistration: Registration as a pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).Experience: One year experience lecturing undergraduate pharmacy students in pharmaceutical sciences.Added advantages:Has potential to contribute to the creation of knowledge by involvement in relevant engagement / consulting activities.A background in clinical pharmacy will be an added advantage.Candidates are to carefully read the requirements and provide a cover letter which sets out how they meet the post requirements as set out in this advertisement.
