Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Director, Marketing & Communications leads and coordinates the work of staff in the proactive development, enhancement and successful execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities, and events.
Your responsibilities will include: Developing a comprehensive and integrated communications, marketing and media strategyDeveloping and implementing communications and marketing plans to support business development and revenue-generating strategies and/or activitiesDetermining the best materials and methods to be used to promote the Institute strengths and achievements to the mediaAdvising on marketing best practices and brand-building opportunities to the leadership teamAdvising senior leaders prior to media interviewsLiaising with stakeholders of strategic importanceProducing promotional and outreach materials to increase brand awarenessDetermining the resource requirements for specific marketing and communications projectsEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, a related field or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum five years recent and related experience in online communications, digital media and communications, developing and implementing communications strategies.Demonstrated experience with project planning and management.Experience with the design, development, production, and coordination of online, social and print marketing materials.Experience writing and drafting marketing and communications plans and materials.Demonstrated client-service focus and experience in a client-service environment.Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communication skills.Excellent presentation skills with experience in training and presenting to a wide variety of stakeholders.Proven organizational skills, ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities.Advanced design software skills (Adobe, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).To be successful in this role you will be: DiplomaticGoal orientedMulti-taskerOrganizedTeam playerPlease note: This is a term position until September 2025.This role is currently eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.Closing Date: 12/13/2024, 11:59 PM ET

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 15 -- $95,627. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $122,290.
