The role holder is primarily accountable for all client and operational matters and solving all issues managing risks, ensuring operational efficiency and addressing all client delivery matters relation to Capital Markets (CM) for the region. The role holder is responsible for defining the operational execution plans for new capital markets deals and transactions. They shall also implement, define and document operational procedures relating to execution of new transactions and be responsible for daily capital markets deliverables across the region.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimarily accountable for all client and operational matters and solving all issues managing risks, ensuring operational efficiency and addressing all client delivery matters.Control and guidance of daily deliverables across the region for the capital market deals.Ensure smooth operational execution within the set timelines and provide client reporting ahead of the deadline.Defining operational execution plans for new capital markets deals and transactions.Implement, define and document operational procedures relating to execution of new transactions.Ensure that every CM deal is properly underbuilt and documented from a financial and legal point of view, and ensure the transition to a more systematic approach leveraging technology.Manage client relationships, operational risk, service level agreements and coordination of client deliverables. Develop, maintain and expand contact with Sales team, clients and the intermediaries and ensure that all stakeholders are serviced well.Build standard, transparent, and repeatable production and service processes to provide stable, consistent, and quality products and services that both internal and external clients expect.Facilitate enforcing policies, procedures and work-instructions with operational staff in order to achieve a standardized way of working towards the clients.Anticipate and manage the impact of any emerging regulatory, taxation or legal changes and ensure compliance related risk addressed on behalf of the client.Responsible for implementing appropriate and best of breed systems and operating procedures.Support the business to create efficiencies and optimize work allocation between local offices and central offices.Leverage the central office delivery capabilities in Mauritius to reach profitability targets.Support the delivery of the financial and operational priorities and budget, within the defined financial targets and objectives.Responsible for the review of existing processes, mapping key processes, identifying gaps and creating the path to a more efficient operations model.Ensure the smooth onboarding and off boarding of clients via appropriate systems and internal systems, and ensure proper communication across functions during the process.Provide feedback and reports to internal stakeholders.Ensure accurate client time recording and control of client profitability targets.Analyzing all operations and actively driving operational efficiencies.Assist in growing the overall capital markets service line.Assess and plan operational capacity and report back to the sales officers to ensure timely delivery.Help define operational processes and assist with the implementation of these process and procedures.Planning and managing projects and contributing to product development and innovation.Promoting operational efficiencies by implementing and optimizing operational procedures and actively driving digitization in the service delivery.Control of the capacity planning and key role in the business continuity planning to ensure 100% delivery.Maximize utilization of resources and drive cost control measures across operations.Travel to offices / client visits as appropriate to support business requirements and manage deliverables.Help build an operational team to grow the Amicorp Capital Markets business.Candidate Profile12+ years of experience with a proven track record in financial services, fund industry with exceptional leadership skills, and a strong commercial and operational mindsetPrior hands-on experience managing CM teams with regional responsibilitiesExperience with accounting and with capital market transactions and securitizations.Willingness to learn, develop a team and grow the entire service line.Previous experience in a similar role.Excellent client facing skills. Well-developed spoken and written communication skills and the ability to tailor style to relevant audiences, and successfully liaise with people at different levels.Excellent English language fluency; additional languages preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution driven, highly organized and detail orientated with good decision making and time management skills. Independent, hands-on and takes accountability to deliver solutions and results.Ability to adapt and work under pressure in a smaller, dynamic, fast paced local team environment; along with being part of a bigger entrepreneurial matrix organization.
