Each day, you will assist in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in design reviews and design verification and modifying the design as necessary.The work model for the role is: Office based. This role contributes to the Electrification Business in Longmeadow.You will be mainly accountable for:Assisting in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification.Participating in design reviews and design verification and modifying design as necessary.Supporting the preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet contractual obligations, while adhering to safety and quality.Participating in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes.Learning from best practices / Lessons-Learned documentation.Using standard processes and tools applicable to one's area of responsibility.Supporting technical risk assessments and implementing resulting actions for one's projects.Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations.Following work plans and cost estimates provided by the Project Manager and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.Collaborating with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual requirements.Coordinating with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged and tested.Updating the engineering deliverables as built.Coordinating with Commissioning / Service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract).Updating the engineering deliverables post installation & commissioning (if applicable).Qualifications for the roleMust have a Degree in Electrical Engineering.Switchgear design background.Strong E-Plan and SAP background, strong technical ability and engineering principles.More about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
