Core Details and Responsibilities This role is based in our office in Cape Town, South Africa. The role is at Associate level, and you will report directly to the Associate Director of Compliance.
Your Daily Tasks The following are the tasks linked to the Core Responsibilities that will be expected as part of this role:  Consistently respond to internal queries in a clear, timely and professional manner.Maintain awareness of industry, regulatory, jurisdictional and other trends that could affect the business Consistently review/approve Investor on-boarding applications (for low and/or medium-risk investors) in a timely manner. This includes liaising with the Client Experience team in situations where documents to complete the review/approval are missing and following up as necessary/escalating to manager to ensure completion.Complete periodic testing checklist (investor) in an effective and efficient manner. Consistently complete tasks assigned by manager regarding the controls to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and AML CFT program.Demonstrates excellent time management and ensures effective communication to team leader if any additional tasks can be completed.Assist with the preparation of adhoc reports.Additional Strategic Expectations Share insights to enable the development of new processes and procedures that will create business efficiency and support the delivery of client excellence in service.Maintain awareness of industry, regulatory, jurisdictional, and other trends that could affect the business.Contribute to the creation, development, and implementation of new products and solutions to accommodate the business's continuously changing needs.Required Skills & Experience Are you getting excited? Before we get too carried away, there are a few requirements you'll need to check off before you can apply for the position: A tertiary accounting qualification, minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a professional qualification such as ACAMS, or similar.A minimum of 1-2 years working experience within an accounting, fund management, administration or technology environment.Highly proficient in Word, Excel. The candidate must be an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats.Innovator & self-starter with high energy and drive.Proactive, taking initiative to identify and address challenges before they become problems.Effective communicator, able to convey ideas and information clearly and convincingly.Willingness to travel occasionally.Fluent in English (writing & speaking)Cultural fit is paramount Apply Today!
