The Kantar Analytics Practice (KAP) has made significant investments in the last few years to further expand our capabilities and footprint in the areas of brand strategy, data strategy & engineering, customer analytics and digital & social media analytics. The practice has strong client relationships in brand strategy, marketing effectiveness and digital analytics. As we strive to offer end-to-end brand strategy solutions, we seek a growth-minded person to help drive growth for our South Africa business in Kantar Analytics.
We are seeking a dynamic hi-potential professional with ~10 years' with strong background in selling and/or delivering work related to some OR most of these areas:
Brand strategy work – market entry, positioning, activation, segmentation, brand architecture, Pricing etc. Media mix modelling, marketing mix modelling, campaign optimization, brand positioning, brand architecture, Equity analysis. Search and Social Analytics including strategic consulting based off such data. Key responsibility will be opportunity creation and driving business for analytics in the above areas for South Africa. There would be additional responsibility to support consultative delivery of analytics work in some of these areas supported adequately by the wider analytics and delivery teams. This would require strong aptitude for linking analytics capabilities with solving client questions – hence strategic consulting powered with analytics would be key both for growing business and guiding delivery of key analytics projects.
This position will report to the Head of Analytics consulting, MEA.
This role is for hands-on critical value generators who provide client advisory and grow client relationships. Ideal candidates will have a hands-on approach and demonstrated track record of accelerated success leveraging their market research expertise, masterful storytelling, talent mentorship and client management skills to deliver actionable insight projects.
KEY OUTCOMES Grow analytics business for Kantar South Africa through opportunity creation and analytic consulting. Identify key areas of growth and help shape the Analytics offer for South Africa. Partner with South Africa business development team and local client servicing teams to optimize analytics opportunities and delivering impactful proposals. Performing program coordination of large research and analytic studies as needed. Day-to-day management of client relations during critical analytics engagements. Work closely with analytics solutions experts in the MEA region to effectively leverage and cascade expertise to internal stakeholders and clients in South Africa. Ensure story-driven reports and client deliverables that synthesize research data and analytic insights to meaningfully address client business objectives. CAPABILITIES Fluency in research and analytics Demonstrated cross portfolio collaboration in research and/or analytics. Strong client relationships and networking skills. Business savvy and commercial acumen. Basic understanding of quantitative survey research and design Masterful storytelling and crafting compelling actionable insights for clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate effectively with virtual analytics and project teams Proven analytic and problem-solving skills Large-scale, multi-country quantitative market research experience and reporting to clients would be a plus. Master's degree in market research / marketing / data science/economics/business management is a plus. Location: Johannesburg, Bryanston, South Africa
