Assistant To The Production Manager

Hire Resolve is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant to the Production Manager.
This role is pivotal in supporting the Production Manager in overseeing daily operations, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring efficiency in production processes.
The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities: Assist the Production Manager in planning and executing production operations in an FSSC22000 compliant facility.
Coordinate production priorities, workflow, and schedules to optimize efficiency.
Identify and report operational issues to prevent delays and maintain productivity.
Schedule routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure reliability.
Develop and update standard operating procedures for production processes.
Ensure the availability of materials and supplies necessary for production.
Monitor performance targets and provide feedback on production results.
Oversee product trials and maintain thorough documentation.
Conduct cyclical stock counts for materials and finished goods.
Address employee concerns professionally and assist in hiring and training.
Manage performance reviews and promotions, optimizing team operations.
Ensure adherence to safety measures and company policies throughout production.
Analyze budgets and implement cost-optimization initiatives.
Responsible for the opening and closing of the factory.
Requirements Matriculation certificate.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Zulu is a plus.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Tertiary qualification in Food Service Management or Catering Management is beneficial.
5 to 7 years of experience in food manufacturing or large-scale food production.
Training in food safety management (HACCP or FSSC22000) and OHAS.
Understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
Experience in managing personnel and conflict resolution.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Familiarity with problem-solving techniques and budget management.
Project motivation and implementation experience is an advantage.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
