This role ensures the smooth running of projects, timely problem resolution, and adherence to technical standards, helping to maintain the efficiency and quality of the team's output.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support and SupervisionAssist the Technical Manager in managing day-to-day technical operations.Provide guidance and support to technical teams to ensure tasks are completed effectively and on time.Monitor and review the performance of technical staff, offering feedback and suggestions for improvement.Project AssistanceSupport the planning, execution, and completion of technical projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and deadline requirements.Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and project plans.Coordinate resources and troubleshoot issues to minimize project delays.Equipment and System ManagementOversee the maintenance and efficient use of technical equipment, systems, and tools.Identify equipment needs and coordinate with the Technical Manager for procurement or upgrades.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for all technical operations.Problem-Solving and EscalationAddress technical issues as they arise and escalate complex problems to the Technical Manager.Collaborate with teams to develop and implement effective solutions to recurring challenges.Team Training and DevelopmentAssist in training team members on technical processes, tools, and best practices.Promote continuous learning and skill development among the technical team.Quality Assurance and ComplianceEnsure all technical work meets company quality standards and complies with relevant regulations.Perform regular inspections or audits of technical operations and processes.Administrative SupportHelp manage schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for technical operations.Maintain accurate records of technical activities, project progress, and team performance.Prepare reports for the Technical Manager and other stakeholders.Key Skills and CompetenciesStrong technical expertise in the relevant field.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Leadership and team management skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in technical tools, systems, and software.Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (preferred) or equivalent experience.Proven experience in a technical role, with some supervisory or managerial experience.Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.Certification in technical management or a related area is a plus.Performance MetricsTimely and successful completion of technical projects.Team performance and adherence to quality standards.Downtime reduction and efficiency improvements.Compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.Job Type: Full-timePay: R10000,00 - R15000,00 per monthApplication Deadline: 2025/01/25Expected Start Date: 2025/02/03
