The incumbent handles the flow of stock in the store. Duties include assisting with purchasing, receiving, and controlling store stock. Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssist with the following:

Greet all customers when passing the retail areaOrder stockCreate purchase ordersEnsure orders/stock/products are received speedily and efficiently in the morningsFollow-up on back orders and provide feedback on order progress to store managerInspect packages for any damages/defaultsReceipt and dispatch stockEnsure all products signed in and out have been receipted and dispatched according to the correct documentationEnsure all products that leave the store are labelled, binned, and signed out by checkerPick the correct products off the shelves timeously and in accordance to picking slipDeal with product returns from customersBook products repairs and follow up on product repairsProvide feedback on repairs progress to store manager and customer if requiredEnsure returns & repairs are labelled and packed according to paperworkHandle any breakagesEnsure that all electrical products are tested in store e.g.
lampsEnsure dispatch bins are packed efficiently according to dispatch baysLabel products, bins, and shelves correctlyLoad and locate all products and bins details correctly on the systemManage inventory and investigate why an item is not in stock when it shows stock on the system and vice versaPack all parcels with care & mark the applicable products as "fragile"Pack the correct products into branded packagingComplete stock takeReplenish stock levels on shelves with low quantitiesAisle MaintenanceOverall store maintenance and housekeeping (ensure store neat and tidy at all times)Complete all daily stock sheets and perform effective stock managementUpdate success tracker on a daily basisLearn about other department heads & managers to direct customers in the right directionAssist internal sales when necessary/store very busyRequirements1-3 years' work-related skills, knowledge, or experience in a relevant position

Electrical Industry and/or Retail Sales Environment will be advantageous

Senior certificate (NQF4) or the equivalent S.A.
Citizen or valid work permit for S.A.
