We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to lead our team, drive sales, and ensure our store operates at its highest potential.Job Purpose:The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a positive shopping experience for customers.Key Responsibilities:Sales and Profitability:Drive store sales to meet or exceed targets.Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, customer footfall, and average transaction value.Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.Team Leadership:Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team.Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff, fostering a positive work environment.Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues promptly.Customer Experience:Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, leading by example in customer interactions.Handle customer complaints and issues professionally, ensuring a satisfactory resolution.Implement and maintain high standards of store presentation and merchandising.Inventory Management:Oversee inventory control, ensuring stock levels are optimal and shrinkage is minimized.Manage ordering, receiving, and storage of products.Monitor product performance and adjust inventory levels to meet customer demand.Operational Efficiency:Ensure the store operates smoothly and efficiently, meeting all operational targets.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.Oversee cash handling, banking, and financial reporting procedures.Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and retail regulations.Conduct regular health and safety checks and ensure staff are trained on safety protocols.Key Performance Areas:Sales Growth:Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.Implement promotional activities to drive sales and attract customers.Staff Development:Build and maintain a motivated, knowledgeable, and customer-focused team.Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and career progression.Customer Satisfaction:Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and store standards.Handle customer feedback and complaints effectively to improve the shopping experience.Operational Excellence:Ensure the store operates efficiently, with minimal downtime or disruptions.Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize waste.Qualifications and Experience:Proven experience as a Retail Manager or in a similar role within the retail industry.Strong understanding of retail operations, sales strategies, and customer service excellence.Experience in managing, training, and developing a team.Proficient in inventory management, merchandising, and financial management.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Competencies:Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales and profitability targets.Strong leadership and team-building abilities.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.High level of customer service and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
