Assistant Retail Manager

Our client is looking for an energetic and experienced Assistant Retail Manager to join their team in Long Beach, Cape Town. The successful candidate will support the Retail Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing sales.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Retail Manager in the daily operations of the store.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.Manage and supervise staff, providing training and guidance as needed.Monitor inventory levels and order stock as necessary.Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.Implement store policies and procedures.Maintain store cleanliness and organization.Oversee merchandising and display efforts.Assist in budgeting and financial planning.Conduct regular performance reviews of staff.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Key SkillsStrong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Customer service-oriented with a problem-solving attitude.Organizational and multitasking abilities.Proficient in retail management software and MS Office.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Strong attention to detail.Understanding of retail management best practices.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.Proven experience as an Assistant Retail Manager or in a similar role.Valid driver's license may be required.
