Job DescriptionEosol Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our team in the successful execution of our solar photovoltaic project in Limpopo. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a minimum of two years of project management experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the Project Manager with all aspects of project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring that all objectives are met within established timelines and budgets.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Project Manager in the planning and execution of the 148MW solar PV project, providing support across all phases of the project lifecycle.Contribute to the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring that all tasks are tracked and deadlines are met.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate project activities, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operation.Monitor project progress and performance metrics, providing regular updates to the Project Manager regarding status, risks, and issues.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and correspondence, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.Support the management of project budgets, tracking expenditures and assisting in cost control efforts.Engage with stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and local authorities, to facilitate smooth communication and project execution.Participate in site visits and meetings, providing on-the-ground support and insight to the Project Manager.Assist in the identification and mitigation of project risks, proposing solutions to ensure project objectives are met.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all stages of the project.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar power projects.Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic technologies and their application in large-scale projects.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results-driven project execution.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.What We OfferAn opportunity to work on a groundbreaking solar PV project that contributes to sustainable energy initiatives.A dynamic work environment where innovation and teamwork are highly valued.Career development and growth options within Eosol Group, a leader in renewable energy.Competitive salary and benefits package.The chance to make a meaningful impact on the transition to renewable energy in South Africa.
