We are seeking talented, sharp-minded Civil Engineers and Construction Managers with solid construction experience to help staff upcoming projects.
Experience in civil infrastructure to include: FDOT/Roadway/Bridge Duties: Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules for efficient project execution.Prepare baseline scheduling and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams.Assess impacts to critical path and near-critical activities, reporting to the project team.Monitor schedule deviations and variances, assisting in developing alternate methods for corrective action.Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis.Ensure credibility of the information contained in the schedule.Review schedules with project team members regularly to ensure accurate and timely data is incorporated.Verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float paths.Evaluate activity sequences for constructability.Resource load schedules as required by the project team.Perform job-site walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities.Position will require traveling to jobsites.Draft RFIs, subcontracts, purchase orders, and negotiate contract pricing to stay under budget.Manage schedules on Microsoft Project or Primavera.Handle budgeting and cost projections.Conduct extensive word processing, letters/correspondence to owners and engineers.Attend progress meetings.Read and interpret plans and specifications.Communicate verbally and electronically in a professional manner with owners and engineers.Work in the office and spend time in the field, understanding what is being built.Manage and schedule deliveries from suppliers.Schedule and coordinate subcontractors.Field responsibilities include: Daily installation quantity record keeping.Daily start and stop station recording for record drawings.Equipment hour tracking.Meeting with subcontractors and suppliers on site.Attending necessary field meetings and taking progress photos.Qualifications: Construction/related degree with 6+ years of construction scheduling experience.Excellent computer skills and analytical ability.Experience working with Primavera P6.Understanding of the industrial construction process.Ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings.Knowledge of contract procedures and principles.Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects.P.E. license preferred but not required.Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
