Assistant Project Manager - Data Centre - East London

A rapidly growing main contracting which operates primarily in the mission critical and life sciences space is actively seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a complex data centre scheme in East London. As Assistant PM you will be responsible for assisting the Contracts Manager throughout the duration of the project from preconstruction stages through to commissioning and handover to client, with a particular focus on program, timely delivery, safety and cost management. The data centre sector is the fastest growing sector in construction at present; there is no better time to be getting into the sector. This coupled with the increased emphasis that this client has put on their data centre division makes an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Construction Manager or Assistant Project Manager to fast track their career. Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities: Involvement in project controls, ensuring timely delivery of each phase according to project program Ensure project is strictly adhering to company health & safety policies at all times Liaise with project commercial and design teams Management of quality control Chair weekly and monthly internal progress meetings and external meetings with client Ensure relationship with client is maintained throughout Requirements: 5+ years in a management role with reputable main contractor Data centre experience desirable but not a necessity Educated to third level in Construction Management or Engineering Can do approach, strong problem-solving skills and career driven attitude Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environments If you are keen to work in the fastest growing sector in construction, with a contractor known for its employee welfare, please reach out to Niall on (phone number removed).
