Introduction

The University is inviting applications for faculty positions in the Mechanical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering.
General Description
The members of PMU's Engineering Management faculty will:

Qualifications & Experience (Required)
Suitable candidates should have:
Earning their B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering/Systems/Engineering Management from a North American accredited institution.
Proven US/Canada academic teaching, research, and ABET experiences and professional registrations.
Excellent command of the English Language and familiarity with technology-infused academic environments.
A letter of promotion from an academic institution for candidates applying for a position of Associate / Full Professor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Required)
Suitable candidates are expected to have research interest and experience in teaching in the following areas:
Engineering Management
Production, Supply Chain and Service Engineering
Operations Research
Modeling and Simulation
Human-System Integration and Ergonomics
Suitable candidates are also expected to:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Develop undergraduate and graduate courses and programs.
Develop funded research programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to school and faculty policy and practice in teaching.
Play a significant role in the design, development, and planning of courses and programs.
Review courses and programs and participate in assessment and quality assurance.
Develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
Provide timely feedback and assessment of coursework and examinations.
Provide general support and guidance to students.
Maintain scholarly or professional development activity.
Participate in the comprehensive advisement of students majoring in the College.
Contribute to the overall work of the College and/or equivalent external organizations.
Participate in management and administrative processes and committee structures.
Manage or lead major initiatives or areas of work.
Participate in the recruitment, management, development, and mentoring of colleagues.
Perform any and all other position-related duties as requested.
