Assistant Plant Manager

Assistant Plant Manager required for a reputable water treatment company based in Cape Town , Western CapeRequirements:At least 8 year's relevant operating experience in wastewater treatment of which 4 years should be at a supervisory / management levelDegree / Diploma in Chemical Engineering or relevant equivalent higher qualification.Registered as DWS Class V or VI Process Controller – Applications don't meet this requirement will not be consideredAt least 5 years MBR plant related operations experienceProven experience in water / wastewater treatment environment, integrated complex SCADA systems, trouble-shooting and plant process optimizationExperienced in professional detailed report writingValid code B/EB driver's licenseResponsibilities:Ensure effective management and operations of the Wastewater Treatment Works i.t.o.
monitoring, ongoing optimization and control of processes and product quality to ensure all legal, license and contractual obligations and performance targets are met.Ensure effective and efficient management by optimal utilization of staff and resources within the operating budget through planning, training, etc.
(including disciplinary actions).Manage, maintain and improve Wastewater Treatment Works O&M within the parameters of the ISO Standards (ISO 9001, 50001, 14001 & 45001), Green Drop systems, OHS Act and Labour Laws, etc.Regular visual inspections to establish functionality levels & performance of unit processes and components and communicate/consultant with Plant Manager on further requirements/instructionsShould you wish to apply please email your CV through to Kerry O'Hagan at
