Required Qualifications:NQF 5 or higher qualification in Occupational Health & SafetyLevel 3 First Aid certificationAdditional certifications in relevant areas such as risk assessment or emergency response will be advantageousRequired Skills:Strong understanding and demonstrated knowledge of Fire and Safety Acts, Occupational Health and Safety regulationsLegislative knowledge of Fire and Safety ActsProficiency in MS Office applicationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsJob Duties:This role will report to the Senior Manager: S, H & E and Utilities, and is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all staff.
Must ensure that all tenants fulfil their safety obligations and safeguarding public safety for all visitors.Assist in the development and implementation of occupational health and safety policies and proceduresConduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standardsInvestigate incidents and accidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrencesProvide training to employees on health and safety practisesMaintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities
