The Santam Shared Services Marketing team has a position available for an Assistant Marketing Manager who will be based at their Head Office in Tygervalley, Bellville.The person will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of all marketing activities for the Santam Broker Solutions business that drive awareness and profitable growth, both regionally and in priority segments. The successful candidate should have 5+ years of marketing, business development, digital, and agency experience, and a thorough understanding of the financial services industry.What will make you successful in this role?Provide support to the Marketing Manager in developing and executing marketing strategies and plans.Conduct environmental and competitor regional scanning to inform marketing strategies and tactics.Assist in translating marketing strategies into practical plans that are well executed in the identified priority segments.Assist the marketing manager by coordinating both internal and external elements that include briefing, creative development, and production.Liaise with other business units to ensure that initiatives are coordinated to create a shared focus and impact.Liaise with outsourced suppliers and manage integration across suppliers and communication channels.Monitor, track, and report on marketing metrics.Closely monitor and track budgets and expense reports.Qualification and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalentFluent in English and AfrikaansAt least 5+ years of related marketing experience in the financial services and preferably the insurance industry.Proven experience in business development, events, advertising, digital, and media industries and related processesProven experience in the development of marketing plans and the successful execution thereofPractical experience in running integrated campaigns that support business growthProven experience in digital marketing with excellent copywriting skillsExcellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skillsGood at building partnerships and sustainable relationshipsInnovative, creative, structured, and deadline-drivenFAIS qualification would be beneficial (e.g. NQF level 4 or 7 credits; RE or KI)Will be required to travel throughout South AfricaCore CompetenciesCultivates innovation - Contributing independentlyCustomer focus - Contributing independentlyDrives results - Contributing independentlyCollaborates - Contributing independentlyBeing resilient - Contributing independentlyAbout The CompanySantam is the leading short-term insurer in South Africa.
