The Santam Shared Services Marketing team has a position available for an Assistant Marketing Manager who will be based at their Head Office in Tygervalley, Bellville.The person will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of all marketing activities for the Santam Broker Solutions business that drive awareness and profitable growth, both regionally and in priority segments. The successful candidate should have 5+ years' marketing, business development, digital and agency experience, and a thorough understanding of the financial services industry.What will make you successful in this role?Provide support to the Marketing Manager in developing and executing marketing strategies and plans.Conduct environmental and competitor regional scanning to inform marketing strategies and tactics.Assist in translating marketing strategies into practical plans that are well executed in the identified priority segments.Assist the marketing manager by coordinating both internal and external elements that includes briefing, creative development and production.Liaise with other business units to ensure that initiatives are coordinated to create a shared focus and impact.Liaise with outsourced suppliers and manage integration across suppliers and communication channels.Monitor, track and report on marketing metrics.Closely monitor and track budgets and expense reports.Qualification and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent.Fluent in English and Afrikaans.At least 5+ years related marketing experience in the financial services and preferably the insurance industry.Proven experience in business development, events, advertising, digital and media industries and related processes.Proven experience in the development of marketing plans and the successful execution thereof.Practical experience in running integrated campaigns that support business growth.Proven experience in digital marketing with excellent copy writing skills.Excellent communication, project management and problem-solving skills.Good at building partnerships and sustainable relationships.Innovative, creative, structured and deadline driven.FAIS qualification would be beneficial (e.g. NQF level 4 or 7 credits; RE or KI).Will be required to travel throughout South Africa.Core CompetenciesCultivates innovation - Contributing independently.Customer focus - Contributing independently.Drives results - Contributing independently.Collaborates - Contributing independently.Being resilient - Contributing independently.About The CompanySantam is the leading short-term insurer in South Africa.
