We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Manager . In this hands-on leadership role, you will assist in managing the daily receiving and inventory processes, ensuring efficient stock flow, and supporting a high level of operational accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, previous experience in stock management, and a passion for optimizing operational efficiency. Minimum Requirements Matric Qualification in Management will be advantageous Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or stock management role, preferably in retail Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with a team and across departments Ability to lift and move stock (physical demands) Proficient in inventory management systems and basic computer software Knowledge of warehouse and receiving best practices and safety protocols Experience in training and mentoring team members A customer-first mindset with a focus on efficiency and accuracy Key Responsibilities : Supervise and support the receiving team in the unloading, checking, and storing of goods Ensure the accurate and timely processing of inventory and deliveries Assist in maintaining proper stock levels, ensuring the organization and accessibility of received products Collaborate with store managers to manage inventory control and ensure accurate stock records Implement best practices for receiving processes, reducing errors, damages, and discrepancies Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area in compliance with health and safety regulations Assist in training and developing team members to ensure high standards of performance and efficiency Monitor and report on receiving department metrics, such as delivery schedules, accuracy, and inventory levels Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless product flow and timely stock replenishment Handle any receiving issues or discrepancies and escalate as necessary IMPORTANT: Applications close 6 December 2024 If you do not receive feedback within 14 days, your application is unsuccessful Only applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be considered Only candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
