Assistant Maitre'D

Job Responsibilities:Assist the Maitre'd in managing the dining room operations, including seating arrangements, table settings, and guest satisfaction.Supervise and train the waitstaff to ensure consistent and exceptional service.Assist with creating and implementing menus, ensuring variety and high-quality food offerings.Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the dining room, ensuring all guests feel comfortable and well taken care of.Handle guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of food orders.Monitor inventory and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain stock levels.Assist with scheduling and payroll for the dining room team.Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized dining room.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or cruise ship.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and inventory management.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship.
