Assistant Maitre'D

Responsibilities:- Assist the Maitre'd in managing the dining room operations, including seating arrangements, table settings, and guest satisfaction- Supervise and train the waitstaff to ensure consistent and exceptional service- Assist with creating and implementing menus, ensuring variety and high-quality food offerings- Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the dining room, ensuring all guests feel comfortable and well taken care of- Handle guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of food orders- Monitor inventory and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain stock levels- Assist with scheduling and payroll for the dining room team- Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized dining roomRequirements:- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or cruise ship- Excellent communication and leadership skills- Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and inventory management- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship
