Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy - Assistant Lodge Manager & Relief Reservations
Luxury Lodge – Vaalwater, Limpopo
Requirements:
A relevant tertiary qualification in either Management or Hospitality (Beneficial)
At least 2 - 3 years Hospitality experience in a Supervisory role (Essential)
Good understanding of 4/5 star lodge operations (Essential)
Strong organizational skills to manage daily operations and staff.
Proven ability to supervise staff, including housekeepers, chefs, and activity coordinators.
Experience in guest relations, including handling check-ins, check-outs, and special requests.
Knowledge of stock control and inventory management.
Ability to manage reservations, handle enquiries, and update booking systems.
Computer literate with experience in handling administrative tasks like databases and invoicing.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with guests, suppliers, and team members.
Own transport is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Attend morning meetings, supervise staff, and ensure smooth guest activities.
Guest Services: Handle check-ins, provide orientations, and assist with meal arrangements and activities.
Room Checks: Ensure rooms are clean and operational, addressing any maintenance issues.
Stock Control: Perform daily bar stock takes and manage inventory for food, beverages, and other supplies.
Staff Supervision: Coordinate housekeepers, oversee kitchen operations, and ensure adherence to schedules.
Reservations Support: Manage guest and agent enquiries, update booking systems, and handle reservation admin during relief periods.
Admin Duties: Maintain guest profiles, manage databases, and process invoices. Conduct weekly administrative tasks as needed.
Package on Offer:
• R8000 – R9000 per month (Depending on Experience)
• Live-in position
