Boutique Lodge – Cederberg, Western Cape
Beautiful remote lodge in the Cederberg is on the hunt for an Assistant Lodge Manager to join this dynamic team. Candidates from the Western Cape would be preferred due to logistical reasons.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
Relevant tertiary education in the Hospitality / Tourism Industry
At least 3 years proven experience in luxury lodge management with experience living & working in remote areas
Strong Lodge Food & Beverage & housekeeping background will be advantageous
Must be familiar with Office & Outlook and bookings systems and platforms such as Nightsbridge, Bookings.com, etc.
Effective financial management through the administration of orders.
Effective communication and maintenance of lodge relations.
Hardworking, career driven, co-operative, and hands-on approach.
Must be able to manage staff conflict as well as guest complaints.
High standards of service excellence and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Attention to detail when it comes to guest service - Hands on Hosting of guests and ensure all their expectations are exceeded.
Exceptional English & Afrikaans – written and spoken
Assist with the day to day running of the lodge.
Responsible for all daily, weekly, and monthly administration - Assist with strict daily stock control procedures
Candidates must be responsible individuals with sober habits
Valid driver's license & valid PDP - own transport essential
Only SA citizens or candidates with valid work permits will be considered for this position - Candidates must have existing home base / arrangements in the Western Cape for logistic reasons – on cycle candidates must leave the property
Solid job history with excellent contactable references
Package:
Salary: R17 000 per month
Live in accommodation (no pets / dependents please)
3 weeks on/1 week off cycle
